While the landlord has a right to inspect their rental property, the tenant has the right to privacy. Landlords should provide prior warning to an inspection, preferably in writing. The minimum amount of notice is 24 hours, but if you can provide your tenant with a weeks’ notice, you will be more respected.

You must also give a tenant privacy with respect to messages. You cannot bombard the tenant with phone calls or messages.

They should also pay on time and maintain the property in good condition.
