Shared Accommodation

Ariston Property has a wide selection of shared accommodation to suit all budgets and lifestyles. In most instances we are the appointed property manager as set out under the Housing Act 2004, the legislation which regulates Houses in Multiple Occupation [HMOs].

This type accommodation is ideal for persons on a tight budget or new to London. It is also popular with tenants who require living accommodation during the working week, whilst returning to their main family home outside London at weekends.

The length of tenancy can be as short as 3 months, but most of our tenancies are for 6 to 12 months. For students we can set the term of their tenancy to coincide with the academic year.
The occupancy rate of this type of accommodation is regulated by the HMO license. Most rooms/bedsits are for single persons with some suitable for couples.

Rooms & BedsitsA bedsit is normally a room within a flat or house in which the occupier has his/her own kitchen facilities but shares bathroom, shower and WC with other tenants.A room differs from a bedsit insofar as the occupier does not have exclusive use of cooking facilities but shares the kitchen as well as the bathroom/WC with other tenants.

Flat/House SharesThe emphasis here is placed on living as one household with people of similar backgrounds, occupations and ages. There is often a communal living room or lounge. The most common example of this type of accommodation are flats or houses occupied by students or young professionals or recent graduates who wish to continue living together as a group of friends. We therefore try to match the applicant to the current occupiers, who often have a say in the final selection of tenant.
